The task of saving energy for air-jet looms has been the goal that many companies is working to achieve, since air-jet looms rank the first in all shuttleless looms in terms of energy consumption, 1.3 times higher than that of shaft looms. This high energy consumption is mainly caused by the high gas consumption arising from the high workload of nozzles, and gas leakage at all parts of the machine. Taking the whole design considerations, people can only improve the nozzles to reduce energy consumption rather than eliminating it. However, the leakage at all parts of the machine, which is usually among the dominant factors causing rapid increase in gas consumption, can be controlled or eliminated. In this context, air-jet energy-saving device is designed to bring good effects in terms of reducing gas consumption and increasing weaving efficiency.
With many electronic technologies widely used for monitoring the operation process of looms, a number of companies also developed new technologies and took new energy-saving measures. 3. All the air-jet looms are networked: Each of jet looms equipped with air-jet energy-saving device enables real-time calculation and display of instantaneous and total gas consumption respectively. Moreover, the energy-saving devices can be networked by integrating a group of them into a single monitoring network, by using the up-to-date, well-developed networking technology, enabling display, processing, comparison and analysis of air consumption for each of jet looms in the system respectively, thus releasing warnings to the management so as to take necessary measures. Through the data obtained by using the above technologies, people can get a clear range of figures needed to be managed, including running state, running time, and downtime for each of air-jet looms, and then take note of them based on fabrics and time, so as to help the management or decision-makers to conduct a centralized control of all the looms in the factory.
