Cotton supply quartz, quartz cloth, felt quartz, quartz tube, quartz quartz glass wool fibers can be used long term at 1050 ℃. Has excellent thermal shock resistance, low thermal conductivity, but also has curly shape, reducing the construction of the transition caused by compression packing.
Quartz glass wool is mainly used for launch vehicle thermal protection systems, rocket nozzles, space re-entry spacecraft ablative materials, high temperature acidic liquid and gas media filter material and reactor insulation.
2. Low-density silica glass fiber mat
Low-density silica glass fiber mat is 9μm diameter quartz glass wool impregnated with an organic binder to form a density of about 10 ~ 20kg/m3, the corresponding mass per unit area of 65, 80, l00g/m2 of glass wool products. Density of 90kg/m3 and 40kg/m3 and 17kg/m3 felt the thermal conductivity with temperature in Table 11-19. From the table, as the density increases, reducing the thermal conductivity of felt, as the temperature rises, felt the increase in thermal conductivity. Therefore, in actual use, should be through testing to determine the best density, to obtain the desired thermal effect. Low-density silica glass fiber mat has good shock resistance and long service life, is an advanced thermal insulation material, mainly used for aircraft engine high temperature insulation materials.
