Jinan Juli Digital Technology Co., Ltd has started research on printing proof technology of common printing media since 2005. It’s one of the earliest companies researching on this task.. The hardware is micro piezoelectricity wide format inkjet printer. After one year’s research, in 2006, it succeeded in developing pre-printing proof system using common print media and based on water-based pigment resin ink. At that time the system can only print common papers, and can’t print on non-paper media. On the exhibition in Shanghai in November, 2008, we put forward the proof system using print media and based on Alcohol solvent biology environmental resin ink. The system can print on many special media such as gold and silver card, PE and metal board. Although the quality can’t reach printing quality, the proof are good in waterproof and anti-scratch. After years of practices and summaries, we elaborately developed a kind of pigment resin ink that uses micro piezoelectricity wide format inkjet printer and can print on all kinds of media. After many years’ research we finally in July, 2010 put forward this box printing proof plan that has advantages in technology and competition.This ink has fast drying speed, high stability, good cover ability on media, good fluency when high speed printing, no erosion, no smell and can print on major media, that is, has wide adaptability, to form a box printing proof scheme.

The system uses micro piezoelectricity wide format inkjet printer as hardware proof equipment, matched with Juli newly developed fast drying pigment resin ink and professional color management proof RIP software, and forms the packing box printing proof plan. The plan solves technology problem of making pre-printing packing samples on common packing media, including copper paper, dull powder paper, white card, white board, craftpaper, gold and silver paper, BOPP, PE, PET, PVC, acrylic, cloth, leather, wallpaper etc. Matched with American or German professional packing box proof RIP software system, it can realize easy proofing on all kinds of packing media and have the same proof color consistency effect and quality as traditional printer, becoming real color box pre-printing digital proof. 3. Color consistency is good. Basically eliminate same color different graphs phenomenon: On major printing media, digital jet print ink shows color consistency with printing machine ink. At the same time they have the same color density, brightness, hue of color, printing gloss etc. By professional color management software, it can make a color difference between printing and proofing. The average value is delta E≤2, and the maxim value is delta E≤5.5. By using pigment resin ink, it can basically eliminate same color different graphs phenomenon.
