Cosmetic package leak testing is to test integrated performance to avoid external migration into package & content leakage. Commonly used testing methods are as follows
- Underwater Decompression Method: Take Labthink MFY-01 Leak Tester as example, this leak tester is made according to underwater decompression method. Testing procedure is: put proper amount of distilled water in vacuum chamber, and immerge specimen completely into the chamber. Set vacuum pressure and time, start test. Tester will begin vacuumizing the chamber to form inner-out pressure difference for immerged specimen. Observe gas leakage of the specimen and determine sealablity of the specimen.
MFY-01 Leak Tester conforms to ASTM D3078
